Optic is completely different. It was designed to be fast, secure, and simple. It doesn't need any special permissions, so it works on all Android devices, even those with older versions.

You can open it with a simple tap, or set it as a default gallery.

Optic supports all the major file types, including.jpg,.xcf,.xbm,.xcf.ps, and.bmp.

It supports both Gallery and Image View, and you can switch between the two view modes.
